Labman is pleased to announce its entry into a significant phase of growth over the next five years, aimed at enhancing its capacity to deliver world-class laboratory technology to customers globally. As part of this expansion, Labman is offering a range of exciting career opportunities, including roles in project management, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and software engineering, as well as positions in administration and leadership.
Headquartered in Seamer, a small village near Stokesley in North Yorkshire, Labman has enjoyed sustained success, with a 23% increase in turnover last year, reaching £15 million. In addition to its headquarters, the company has offices in Bracknell and Liverpool. Labman is now embarking on bold steps to double its production capacity with the construction of a new, purpose-built facility.
This state-of-the-art, three-story building, scheduled for completion in 2025, will be connected to Labman’s existing headquarters, almost doubling the floor space at the company’s Seamer site. The expansion will create more space for the assembly of custom projects and products, enabling Labman to meet the growing demands of its expanding customer base, which includes some of the world’s largest corporations.
The expanded site is expected to accommodate an additional 150 employees by 2025, marking a significant milestone in the company’s development. As part of this growth plan, Labman intends to recruit 50 new team members over the next 12 months, further enhancing its current workforce of 150. This recruitment drive presents a prime opportunity for individuals passionate about engineering to join a company known for fostering creativity and innovation.
Labman attributes its ongoing success to the talent and enthusiasm of its employees. Managing Director Ian Riley stated
In addition to investing heavily in recruitment, Labman is also enhancing its headquarters to attract new talent. The company offers a robust programme of apprenticeships and internships, which fill up quickly each year. With existing facilities that include a squash court, climbing wall, and gym, Labman continues to seek new ways to improve its workplace while encouraging a culture of clubs, activities, and events.
While Labman serves a global customer base, the company takes particular pride in representing North-East England, a region rapidly gaining recognition as a hub for innovation. With a growing network of businesses in the pharmaceutical, medical, energy, agriscience, and coatings sectors, North Yorkshire presents exciting opportunities for collaboration. As automation specialists, Labman is well-positioned to benefit from the growth of these industries and remains committed to showcasing the region’s capabilities on the world stage.
As Labman continues its upward trajectory, it remains dedicated to maintaining its reputation for excellence while offering dynamic roles that contribute to ground-breaking technological advancements.
