Labman were happy to host Code Club last week - a nationwide network of volunteers and educators who run free coding clubs for young people aged 9-13. The sounds of engineering were added to by the coos and chatter of 11 young developers as they took a tour of the facility.
The Labman team set up some interactive tasks for them to get stuck into – battling against a robot in a man vs. machine game of noughts and crosses
Creating their own fruit punches controlling Labman’s automated drinks robot with some simple scratch code (limited to a variety of fruit squashes and water for the duration of the day!)
And building and controlling a robot within our virtual reality system.
Thanks to Code Club for their hard work in getting the next generation of developers ready and impassioned about the future!
