Overview
This system was commissioned by a UK based company, as part of an Innovate UK grant, to conduct image analysis on tissue samples. The tissue samples are ultimately used in cutting edge and market disrupting regenerative therapies.
The system, which can operate inside a grade D good manufacturing practice (GMP) cleanroom environment, runs an easy-to-use wizard allowing lab technicians to process tissue samples. The system first images the tissue samples & analyses them as part of an in-line quality assessment (QC) process, eventually outputting a ‘grade’ that the sample has met internal and external product guidelines and regulations. The system also allows for product traceability throughout such as by scanning a barcode on the sample’s packet to link raw materials to product information together. All images and data are stored securely, and key product information is printed into a custom label format preparing the product for distribution.
All information can be readily exported in .csv format for data analysis and for incorporation into a quality management system (QMS).
