Transforming Vial Processing

The MultiVial™ platform combines two critical lab processes - weighing and vial marking - into a configurable system that seamlessly integrates into any lab setup across industries. MultiVial is built to process glass and plastic vials ranging from 1ml to 50ml, handling up to nine SBS racks of mixed vials in a single run. Its compact size and collaborative design ensure it fits effortlessly into existing workflows, while an optional open REST API enables seamless integration with other devices and easy data access.

Key Features

Laser marking - permanent and precise

MultiVial eliminates the challenges of traditional ink or ribbon-based marking with its fine-tuned laser etching capability, providing consistent and permanent markings such as numbers, bar codes, and QR codes. This innovative system eliminates the need for consumables and offers:

  • Configurable marking options for various vial types.
  • Compatibility with leading labware brands like Micronic, Azenta (FluidX), and Thermo Fisher (Matrix).
  • Automated detection of marking areas using a line scan camera.

Accurate and intuitive weighing

Engineered for precision, MultiVial delivers accuracy up to 5 decimal places and processes up to 864 1ml vials or mixed sizes in one run. Key weighing features include:

  • Smart rack detection technology for streamlined operations.
  • Priority selection to focus on specific racks.
  • Integrated antistatic bars and draft shields for fast and accurate measurements.

Optional vial imaging

The technologies integrated into MultiVial’s advanced platform can be leveraged to enable photo-imaging of vials within the process. An integrated line scan camera can be used to photograph vial contents enabling manual or AI analysis of visual properties such as vial fill volume, precipitates, residues and phase separation.

Accessible, collaborative and configurable

Designed to promote accessibility and collaboration, MultiVial features a user-friendly interface requiring minimal training. Its configurable modules allow laboratories to tailor the platform to meet specific needs, whether weighing, marking, or both.

"We’re thrilled to introduce MultiVial, a solution that embodies Labman’s commitment to innovation and efficiency. By addressing common challenges of vial handling and enabling seamless integration, MultiVial empowers laboratories to achieve greater productivity and autonomy in their workflows."
