System Overview.
As part of a large formulation system Labman integrated a Dual Axis Centrifuge (DAC) mixer manufactured by Hauschild in Germany. The mixer is ideal for automated formulation systems as the mixing is extremely efficient and is non-invasive. The huge benefit of a non-invasive mixing method is that there are no impellors which require cleaning both increasing throughput and minimising sample loss and cross contamination. The DAC mixer is used 24 hours a day at around a 75% duty cycle.
