Overview

System Overview.

Labman installed the first next generation cryogenic plant grinder and dispensing system at IPB in Halle, Germany. The system is based on the highly successful system installed at the Max Plank institute in 2007. The new system is improved with a faster more accurate vial handling robot and also new sealing methods to reduce the time between defrosts to around five weeks. The system is capable of grinding and dispensing plant material loaded in 20ml scintillation vials and also 2ml centrifuge tubes. An updated dispense algorithm and powder dispensing hardware allows higher accuracy and throughput.
