Overview
An input file, previously prepared offline, is uploaded onto the Labman UI. Prefilled plates are loaded by the operator onto the plate store and the capacitive button is pressed to alert the mobile robot the store is ready for scanning. The Mobile Robot de-lids the plates and places them to selected devices. Imaging tags are used to ensure accuracy when picking and placing.
Integrated devices include an Aglient PlateLoc, Wyatt Dynapro Plate Reader and Hettitch Centrifuge. Most modules are located on a custom Labman workbench. Once all processes are complete the plates are placed back to the plate store.
CPI are working to develop a modular automated workflow, one of the key advantages to using a mobile robot was modularity, which allows a range of third-party hardware to be easily integrated into the workflow. Read more about this project here.
