System Overview.
This system prepares samples ready for injection into various analysers. Turbid samples are collected into vials. The turbidity of the sample is monitored. Should the turbidity of the sample exceed the required minimum then the vial and contents are centrifuged at 6000xg otherwise they are discarded. Following the centrifugation step the vial is re-scanned to determine the height of the centrifuged pellet and of the supernatant. The supernatant is removed and is replaced with fresh reagent. The process is repeated. Following the last cleanup step the supernatant is removed and the remaining viscous sample is aspirated and dispensed into wells for automatic or manual analysis.
