Overview

System Overview.

This system takes aliquots from a temperature controlled reaction block via a frit filter and injects them into septum sealed GC vials. The reaction block is peltier chilled and electrically heated allowing for a range of temperatures or computer controlled reaction temperature profiles. The sub-sample is aspirated with the Tecan robot and bespoke needle which loads automatically with a PTFE porous frit. The liquid handling needs to be slow and methodical to prevent the frit blocking and to get accurate liquid dispensing. The aliquots are injected into septum sealed GC vials with the non-coring needle. The materials are all PTFE and stainless steel to minimise corrosion.
