Overview
The Vial Weighing and Labelling System is a bench-top XYZ robot that weighs and applies labels to 10 different specified vial types. Up to 11 racks of vials are loaded into the system by the user at the start of the run. Each vial is picked by the robot, labelled or its barcode scanned, then weighed. The weight of each vial is recorded in a .csv file saved on the system PC. The system is controlled from an external desktop PC using software written by Labman specifically for this application. The system performs the following individual functions: • Weighing vials on a balance • Printing and applying labels to vials
