My year at Labman has been an incredible journey filled with new experiences and opportunities for professional growth. From the very beginning, I was immersed in various projects that allowed me to implement theoretical knowledge with practical application, all within a supportive and dynamic environment.

During my first six months, I worked on multiple high-impact projects, honing my skills in project management, design, and practical application. I also took on the role of Project Leader for a mobile robot project, overseeing the design and implementation of a proof-of-concept project. This leadership role involved managing timelines, coordinating with team members, and ensuring the project met all technical and safety standards. These projects significantly enhanced my engineering and leadership skills.

In addition to these projects, I had the opportunity to develop and install a solar-powered aeration system for the local community’s pond. This hands-on project allowed me to apply my engineering skills to create a practical solution for a real-world problem, showcasing the impact of our work beyond the company.

The work culture at Labman is truly unique. The supportive and collaborative environment, combined with opportunities to engage in activities like the Off-roading Club and football matches, made my time here enjoyable and enriching. Events like Labfest and Bonfire Night, along with access to the onsite gym, fostered a healthy and fun work-life balance.

Overall, my placement at Labman has been a remarkable experience. I am grateful for the opportunities and support I received and look forward to applying the skills and knowledge I’ve gained as I finish my university studies.

Thank you to the Labman family for an unforgettable year. I look forward to working with you all next summer!
